August 3rd Saturday Knit along

Our 3rd Saturday Knit-along this month will be on Zoom feature member Kim Dixon. Kim will be making a felted oven mitt. More information will be sent out in the coming weeks but here is a list of the material you will need.

Materials:

16″ Circular, Size 13 Needles

Size 13 double-points (Size 11’s will work too if you don’t have Size 13’s)

Cascade 220 (one-skein, see Yarn Suggestions below) – Or minimum 220 yards of another worsted weight, 100% wool (No blends or Superwash as they won’t felt)

Waste yarn (about 3 yards, I use a 100% cotton, like Sugar n’ Cream & any contrast color as it won’t be in finished object)

Scissors & general knitting notions.

Note about Materials: You could do Magic Loop if you want, but I do not use that technique often, so I’ll be demonstrating with the 16″ Circular and Double Points.

Yarn Suggestions (Pattern says one-skein, but because holding together, I’m using two and will just make another mitt. You can wind one skein into two balls to get workable yarn format):
